Hailing from Toronto, Canada, BuddhaFly Quest have secretly been producing music for many years. Without promoting, touring, or letting anyone hear their music, they were able to work in a vacuum of sorts. Experimentation was usually the root of any song, from playing with drone sounds to off-beat percussion techniques, anything could inspire a new song.
The tracks incorporate a wide range of sounds which all seem like different chapters of the same book. Jun’s entrancing vocals compliment the bed of soft seductive breakbeats which are illuminated by synths and flashes of guitar.
Having made the decision to come out of the wood-work in 2020, BuddhaFly Quest is now working on their first EP. Their current singles “Air Wreck” and “Ragged Flats” have been circulating online and the band is currently working to complete the remaining tracks for the EP.
